Call the Midwife.......

No I'm not pregnant, it's a TV series that I watch on a Sunday on PBS

I really enjoy this show, and think Miranda Hart is great as "Chummy."

I see they are doing another series which is good.

As I am a big reader I really need to read Jennifer Worth's books that are based on the series.  Will have to call the library to order them.

Are any of you out there fans of this show?

Yes, I like to watch this show -- and I do like Chummy. I've known a few people like her. Don't know the books though.

Yes, we saw it here about 3-4 weeks ago and I enjoyed every single episode. I am thrilled to hear they are doing another series. I thought Miranda Hart was splendid as Chummy.

I have only just discovered the show and I love it. I didn't know there was more than the current series. I will have to go and find them (as well as the books) lol.

I really enjoyed the books. Watched the show also and enjoyed that. It's so rare to find something worth reading AND watching these days

I enjoyed the series, very moving.

Miranda (Chummy) is fantastic in it.

I found the book quite shocking in places. I'm afraid such things stay with me, I'm a sensitive soul.

The tv series has used quite a bit of it but missed other more brutal parts.

Yes I am, think it is a lovely show. Hope you did okay up there with the storm. Everything is fine down here now, we lost electricity for a while, lots of wind and rain but all quiet today.

I have mentioned it before, I think...I love it. They do some really good shows. I have not missed one yet. I try to think and record it in case someone comes or calls and interrupts me. I am wanting the books, too.

Do you Masterpiece Theater and Masterpiece Mystery? If you ever get the chance, watch Foyle's War...it is my husband's favorite and possibly mine. I didn't watch it the first season or two just simply because the name put me off...I happened on it and did not realize what it was, and have now watched them all...twice through netflix...and some of them a 3rd time when taking into account that I saw several of them when PBS was running it.

I could go on and on about all the shows I have watched on there. Ballykissangel is another favorite..wish they would have another season but don't think that is going to happen now since it has been so long since the last.

Yes, I've seen most of the first series but I think I might get it on DVD. Brianna (future midwife) and I loved it!
