Sharks in the Water! 🦈

So we were babysitting on the weekend.  Babysat the boys, Saturday into Sunday while their parents were away.  The weather was awful with a lot of rain and Liam picked up a stomach bug so was in bed early poor thing.

Evan will be 3 this coming Saturday and he LOVES the video below.  I mean really, really LOVES this video.

Now to be fair when you first watch it, it's quite catchy don't you think?  However after watching it 100 times (slight exaggeration!!), it does start to get on your nerves; just saying!!!

This guy is the Australian version of Blippi.

Now between me and you I don't know who is worse.  Blippi's voice gets on my nerves, so maybe Go Danny, or is it Danny Go(?) wins.

Remember when Barney was the hit for all younger kids?  Sesame Street has stood the test of time.

The one thing I do enjoy is being able to watch kids movies with the kids.  I would never think of doing that other wise!

Is there a particular kids character you enjoy?

Why oh why do they do this?

Instead of releasing a whole season of a show they release it in dribs and drabs.  I think we have become spoiled, as we had to wait weekly for new episodes of shows.

I binged watched the first four episodes of Bridgerton; now I have to wait until June to see the rest.  I have read the book, so know what's going to happen, but even so.  Will say I enjoyed it.

After The Flood on Britbox, isn't quite as bad, as we will see the conclusion next week.  This also got rave reviews, but I found it a bit slow to get into at first.  Huge fan though of Sophie Rundle, really enjoyed her in Peaky Blinders.

We've made a start on the first series of this.  I think we are four episodes in, and I am finally getting the hang of it.  I enjoy watching Nicola Walker, she was in The Last Tango in Halifax, another really good British show.

Oh and just a quick thing.  I am really struggling to comment on other people's blogs.  I have no idea what is up with Blogger at the moment.

Craft Club - need input from you.

On Wednesday it was another craft club meeting.  This month we were making paper beads.  Now this is something I have never done, but have enjoyed looking at in stores.

We were given this instruction sheet and we were to make a book mark or a key chain.  She had the fixings for both of those things.  She also told us what to do........which helped a lot.

She supplied a variety of old books pages and scrap book paper.  Now for anyone wanting to do this, the thinner the paper, the easier it is to roll up.  If your paper is thicker, you probably need to roll it up twice to get it tight enough.  Magazine pages would work really well as well.
She supplied us with a piece of pool noodle and toothpicks to pop the beads in to dry.  I wrapped the paper around the cotton bud stem which you can see in the bottom of the photo.  She also suggested the thin end of a paintbrush.
When you have rolled up your length of paper, you attach the end with a dab of glue and then using a paint brush cover the whole bead with Mod Podge and place onto a tooth pick to dry.  They don't take very long to dry.  These are some of the ones I made.  Five were made with scrap book paper and the far right one with book pages.

We all found it quite therapeutic to make these.  I thought I would struggle with my hands, but I rolled them not in my hands but with the paper placed on the table.  A couple of the other women copied that idea and found it helpful.

So this is where I would love your input.  I neither want a book mark or a keychain, or jewelry.  Do you have any other ideas on what else I could use these for, as I really do like the look of them.

There are a number of how to videos I included a shorter one for you to look at.

Also good news, I am already registered for the April one...YEAH!!

I Turned this Abandoned Fairytale Tiny House into an Elegant 2 Bed Home

Now obviously I personally didn't do this, but I discovered a lady who makes YouTube video's showing how she would redesign, abandoned buildings etc.  She is super creative and as I love looking at home designs, this was right up my alley of interest.

I must say though I really enjoyed this video and this design could be very usable in inner cities:

I hope you enjoy these video's let me know what you think.

Song for Sunday

I am going to post a song/video on a Sunday.  It's one that I haven't heard in a while, or one I have never heard of at all.  Or even a new to me song.  I hope you enjoy.

Can you believe this song was released in 1975?  Crazy eh?  I can't believe this song is 49 years old?  I remember it coming out.  I must say Rod has a terrible haircut......just saying!!

Wizzard - I Wish It Could Be Christmas Everyday (Official Music Video) [HD]

Blast from the past with this song.  I love the song, BUT the whole video gives me the creeps, with the lead singer dressed up the way he is with those young kids.

That glam rock look was all the fashion back in the 70's and no one thought anything about it; now though, it gives me the shivers/creeps!!!

A lady I follow on YouTube

I watch her video's every day while I am having my lunch.  If I were younger this is something I would love to do.  Now I can't be bothered, so just live vicariously through her!!

Do you follow/watch video's of a certain person daily online?

I made you look!!!

This is such a catchy song, and I love watching folk dance to them.........

Happy Sunday!

Safe

Here we go another Netflix progamme based on a Harlan Coben book.  Once again was clueless until the last episode then everything meshed together.  Also once again there was a twist that no one saw coming until the last moment.  And once again well worth watching as it keeps your brain working trying to figure out who has done what!!!

I can't post the actual video here for some reason, but I did find the theme song to this series quite catchy.  Here is a link to Glitter and Gold.  I have never heard of this artist, Barns Courtney, have you?

Fun one that you can join in with...

Saw this on Facebook.   What was the Number 1 song in your country on your 23rd birthday?

This was mine; it was number 1 for two weeks.

What is yours?

Crazy Lamp Lady

I have discovered this lovely lady on Facebook and Youtube.  She buys things at thrift stores and antique stores and then resells them for a profit.

I would love to do what she does, however it's not something I will be doing, so I watch her video's daily, and cheer her on from the sidelines!!

Do you have someone who you love to watch on Youtube or Facebook?

Still busy painting, so a shorter post today.

Obsessed with these..

On a night I can sit for hours watching these video's on Facebook.  Love that they are using very short and all are so varied.

The one I watched the most was Gogglebox Fanpage  You can also watch them on Youtube here

I also love Drew Binsky and all his videos on travelling all over the world, you can see them here on Facebook and here on Youtube Videos.  The following video is in Lebanon:

There are many more; that I will share with you over the next few weeks.

Today's Christmas song is an updated Christmas carol:

Saturday's show..........

It was a super show, with a great turn out.  Only one negative Nelly, who thought she could buy the same things I was selling at the dollar store..........go ahead then!!  Anyhow here is a photo taken of me by the local radio station:

Do you see who is looking over me?  My table was by the Queen.  For those of you who have been following my blog for a while, remember I have a decal of the queen on my car? See this post   She was my good luck charm on Saturday.

This show made up for all the other shows, and I had a good time and sold a lot.  I now have to regroup and plan out what to do next.  One thing about these shows though is you never know what will sell from one show to the next.  My biggest sellers so far had been the soup bowl cozies, but this show it was the produce bags.

As the weather is going to be nasty today I think I will have a pajama day and just take it easy.  These shows are tiring but as I said productive.

Oh and as It's December 1st, let's play lots of Christmas music:

"The Git Up,"

Love this song and video........
Have you seen it before? It feels like a combo of Big Town Road by Lil Nas X
 (Did you see Brad Pitt?)

and I Don't Care by Ed Sheeran. Some of the comments on the You Tube video are funny:

"Editor: I'm very bad at editing Justin and Ed: I don't care"

"Director: How much green screens and photoshop do you want in this video Ed: I don’t care"

"Director:How do you want it edited? Justin and Ed:I don’t care"

Fall flowers

I was at the grocery store the other day and they had a lovely display of fall flowers for sale. This tub was $55 CDN which I thought was a ...
