Not feeling 100% at the moment.....

my poor shoulders are hurting me again, especially the right one.  When I was at the doctors last we talked about getting both of my hands x-rayed again as the carpal tunnel is back in both hands, again more on my right side.  I had the carpal tunnel operated on the right hand back in 2002.  Thought it was a once only operation, but I guess not.

Was just looking through Wag-Jag again this morning and picked up a restaurant deal for $10.  It's an Italian restaurant and I love Italian food.  There is also a deal for 4 hours of gardening for $69 which I may get, as I will get them to do the hard work for me, saving my shoulder and back.  If anyone wants to sign up for Wag Jag here is my referral link  I would really appreciate it if you would sign up through me.  There really are some great deals on there.

Mind you I think I am going to have a problem with my veggie patch this year as we still have our resident rabbit, so you know where he/she will be feeding from!!!  So I am going to have to figure out a way of rabbit proofing the veggie patch.

We saw the coyote again yesterday morning, but as yet haven't seen it this morning.  Spoke to both my dad and farmer friend about it, and both said shoot it............my response, "I don't think so!!"  I think both of the guys think I am potty, but I have never held a gun and have never shot anything and I am not going to start now!!

Short and sweet this morning, as I have a bit to do today.

Enjoy your Friday,

Gill

Coyotes are attracted to homes with dogs;a friend used this tip to keep coyotes away from her house. It will cost a bit but keeps the coyotes away. She says to get a bag of dog kibble and spread it far from the house. The coyotes will eat the food then go away.

There must be other ways to keep them away...I'll have a think.

For both the coyote and the rabbit, you can ask if an ultrasound emitter will work. My aunt and uncle have a few for their backyard and it is quite effective at keeping at least the cats away from the gardens. Your local Home Depot or another hardware store should be able to clue you in on a few tricks to keep the critters away. I'm with you though, I could never shoot a living thing...except maybe for someone attacking me!!!

We have had a coyote out our way for a month or so - one got a small dog not far from here. We are very careful when we let Peanut out - I know Molly is bigger but you still need to be careful. There are plenty of ppl who will come shot it for you if you ask.

Have you talked to a chiropractor regarding your carpal tunnel? It could be an issue with your spine and not actually carpal tunnel. The test that my chiropractor showed me was to hold my hands together as if I was praying. If I could do that, then it wasn't carpal tunnel. Dr. Trevor Middleton, Orangeville, 905-942-1217. If you mention that I referred you then the first appointment/assessment may be free. I can speak from experience that I no longer have tingling in my arms and hands. All of this was done by spinal adjustments. I was diagnosed with carpal tunnel by my doctor, but he was wrong. You also want to check this as the same nerves that go to your hands go to your heart. Karen.Scully@hotmail.com if you want to talk more.

I Like scrappy quilters comment. If the coyote eats the rabbit, then you can do what jane and chris said and feed it the dog food. Problems all solved. Here in Victoria, Australia we have foxes and rabbits. I have put a fence up around the food growing area to keep the animals out. My cats are good at keeping the rabbit population down.
