This photo was taken Wednesday morning, we had a nasty frost and this was when the sun was coming up.

As I said I have been super busy and by nightfall I am pooped.
I am still chopping up the wood for the fire. We have friends coming on Saturday so that has given me a kick in the butt to get things tidied up around here!! I am cross stitching some Christmas Cards on a night now.....I know last minute, so all in all I am super busy.
So sorry if I haven't visited your blog, hoping to make time to do that soon!
(Notice how I made the font large to make it look as though I have written a lot!!)

Students do the same thing to make their papers look longer. They also increase the space between lines, but I don't know if you can do that on Blogger. Love the foggy pic! Sounds like you and Abe Lincoln have a lot in common; you're gettin' pretty good at this log splittin'.

Funny how a few frosty mornings and frozen water barrels can make the panic set in. Chris and me were out in the pitch black last night with a lamp and a moisture meter trying to sort and stack more logs.

Chopping wood is a chore all on it's own Gill and I am glad it's you and not me! We had a hard frost last week then three days of 80 degree weather just to give us a slap to remind us we don't control quite everything yet! Don't work to hard, but I know how it is!!!

Still waiting for spring - had 100mm (approx) of rain in September October snf now 5th November and already had 55mm. Last night was low single digit temps with snow falling on the mountains and a cold southerly airstream. At this rate summer will be on us with no spring at all!
Lovely muted shades.
Good luck with the wood chopping!
Lovely shot! Beautiful whith the mist and the frost - and that fade pink in the air!
Frost or no frost, it leaves a lovely coloured light for your photo. Very nice!
Quite foggy, but nice & mysterious looking!
Hehehe! How clever of you to make the font bigger. If you hadn't said anything about it, I probably wouldn't have noticed. :) OOPS! I probably should not have told you that.
Yep, that frost sure was a heavy one!
I've used that trick occasionally when I write hand-written letters. The frost certainly made for a lovely photograph. Have a great weekend and I am sure you are going to enjoy having your friends over.
Works every time for me, Gill, making things larger!!
I love the colours we can get on a frosty morning, like no other time of day at all. Thanks!

Frost, even though brutal, can be a lovely thing and you've captured that well here :o) Great capture!
I love the delicacy of the skeleton trees against those love soft colours.
Your larger font make it easier to read too Gill - ha ha! Wonderful picture - makes me shiver to look at it. A
Nice picture. I like frosty mornings, so long as I'm in a warm house looking out. I don't envy you the job of chopping wood.
Beautiful picture! Soft romantic colors!
It is a beautiful shot, Gill! The frost makes for a lovley scene.
The fog... makes it a really mysterious photo... Dramatic..
Pixellicious Photos
I love this picture!
