Snow fences, a very talented lady and a problem....

We finally got the last of the snow fence installed on Tuesday.  It's actually technically not snow fence, as when you go to the store to buy snow fence it is generally orange or black, or wooden.  We had this fence and the posts from the old house and we brought it with us. So figured we would use it this year to see if it prevented the snow from drifting as much on our driveway.
It has a rotten habit of drifting just as you come into the driveway and just up the driveway.  We had a lucky escape on Tuesday night/Wednesday morning, as we have a pile of rain.  Luckily it was still warm enough to come down as rain as otherwise we would have got a good six inches of snow if it had been colder!!!
Looking at those two photos, it looks as though the grass is covered with leaves.  They are the tiny leaves from the willows and are impossible to mulch, so fingers crossed the wind will blow them away.

If you have a moment pop over to Valerie's blog as she is such a talented lady, you should see her parchment craft and the gorgeous cards she makes.  Here is a link to her blog.  Look at Monday and Tuesday's posts.

I have run into a problem with my blog.  The Picassa Web Album which Google uses is full, so I cannot upload any more photos on my blog.  If I delete photos in the albums they are deleted from my blog as well?  I could pay for more space, but I would rather not spend anymore money at the moment.

Any suggestions/ideas/tips?

Re photo album being full, use a second email address and open a new account with a different password!

Now I know what you mean by a 'snow fence'! Helpful to guide you as well, try by some of those fluoro-yellow star picket caps and place on the top of the pickets to guide you in dim light or at night.

Is that your driveway? It looks very long. I can understand you wanting to keep the snow away.

Thanks for the link to my blog. I have more cards on today and prepared another batch for tomorrow. Then that's the lot for now. I need to change...grins.

Hello Gill
Why not upload from your computer? I've never done anything else as it saves having to have them online
Hope the fence helps you out with drift this winter. No worries with that here - just of there's going to be enough water for the garden
Take care
Cathy

I upload photos from my computer. I've taken note of the other comments too. That snow fence sounds like a great idea. I keep hearing varying stories on the winter. A lot of snow, not a lot of snow. Can always live in hope that it won't be as bad as last year. Here's hoping :)

Like some other commenters, I upload from my computer. I think it would be faster - my experience (with Ravelry which needs to have photos hosted by Flickr) would tend to support that theory.

Do you actually shovel all that snow? Even without drifting it would be so much work.

Please drop by my blog to enter my giveaway.

We are having the same close calls with snow as you! Good luck with the fence tactic for preventing snow drifts in your driveway, I hope it works!

As for your photo uploading I, like a few other commenters, upload from my computer. It's a good thing I do, otherwise I would be doomed!!! lol

I use Picassa 3 like you. I noticed this Web Album problem, so I only store my pictures and THEN....I go into the album and Export the picture to a folder on my computer. This works perfectly for me. Then when I post a picture in blogger I just choose the folder on my computer...no more Web Album problems and you save mucho dinero!

You have to tell us later if that fencing works....it is drab and dreary here and looks like a typical winter day. I am dreading the cold more than normal this year....

Tuesday was a mixed bag type of day. Had the appliance repair guy come again to install another circuit board in the fridge.  When hubby got...
