A quiet day around the acreage..........

Ever had one of those days when you just do nothing?  Well Friday was one of those days for us.  Now granted I did a big load of ironing, cleaned out the fire, brought in logs, and made meals.  Otherwise we did nothing all day!!!  So I am afraid today's post isn't up to much, just a couple of bits and bobs.

A week or two ago we had a day where everything was covered in hoar frost.  As I was walking to the fire pit to take out the ashes, I noticed this spider web covered in it.  Never seen anything like it before.......

Did you remember to put your money into your pot yesterday?  If not make sure you do today!!

Today's money saving tip:

Invite friends over instead of going out. Almost every activity at home is less expensive than going out. Invite some friends over and have a cookout or a potluck meal, then play some cards and have a few drinks. Everyone will have fun, the cost will be low, and the others will likely reciprocate not long afterwards.

chksnowqueen, thanks for your comments I am glad you like the muffin recipe, you don't have a blog where I can comment........

Happy New Year Gill to you and the family
You know Gill some days we need a quiet one - one that just moves along at its own pace - one where we can do things but not be rushed.
Hope there are more of them in line for you
Take ccare

Wow what a great photo. erry too.
Ok so I converted the amounts to Omani Rial and set up my daily savings plan and also my Christams / Birthday / and Special occasion amounts.
I am also going to create a daily savings tin for each of my three children. They can earn their money via their chores and together each day we will put in our money.
Thanks Gill for the incentive to save.
I also shared this idea with a friend of mine today and she is going to join in too.
I will blog about it later and link over. thanks

I'm a new visitor to your blog and have enjoyed it. We have had quiet days here too because of wet weather. It is always nice to relax and just enjoy the day.

I've never seen anything like those cobwebs, Gill. It's great you were able to capture another of God's wonders ~ thanks for sharing it with us!

Gill we get hoar frost here often. There is something about it that just makes you stand in awe.

When inviting a group of people over, ask them to contributoe to the party. If each person does, the cost to you is even lower.

C has her money already put in her homemade bank. I will be putting mine in on Sunday when I get some change from the bank.

Hugs

I'm glad to know you have "bits and bobs" days like the rest of us!! LOL . . . . . Cold here today, freezing fog. The trees are beautiful, sparkly like crystal. Just hope we get a little thaw before DH starts home.

Happy New Year. Looks as cold at your place as it is here. I was busy all week, so am trying to catch up on some of my blog friends. In fact have been busy since the Wed. before Christmas.
