Well the wind is howling, the snow is coming down and overall its a nasty day, so I thought I would pull up another photo from the archives, of a warmer time, and here is a close up of the middle of a sunflower.

Hello Gill - nice to meet another Gillian - even if it's only for Sunday best. LOL.
Thanks for dropping by my blog. I shall returneth ....x
Love the sunflowers and my birds love them too. Great shot!
Yes, it's ceratinly blowing and snowing today... my furnace seems to be constantly cycling! I'm staying home and hibernating today. And reading blogs, of course.
Sounds like a fabulous day....as long as you stay indoors and keep warm! xxx
You picture brightens our snowy, windy and cold Sunday in Toronto.
Thank you for sharing,
Gisela
This is an incredible macro Gill. I hope anyone who visits remembers to enlarge it to get all the detail. Great shot!
Stay warm, sounds like quite a day up there. The sun is shining down here but it is a chilly 25 degrees F. and very windy.
Beautiful. I adore sunflowers and can't wait to start growing them again :)
LOve that sunflower. Will take some time to see them again.
Just stopped snowing here Gill...But that wind is howling!
Love the reminder of warmer days.
Hugs, GG
Do you save your sunflower heads for the birds through the winter? We take ours, hang them upside down from the garage rafters and let them dry. Pull them out in the winter and hang them for the birds to eat from. We save seeds from the prettiest and do it all again the next year. Last year the squirrels stole two heads before they even got very big. Bit the stem and dragged them off. Little buggars!
Great macro, Gill!
Hope you and your family have a new year full of happines.
Glad we're not the only ones getting this awful cold weather - that sounds a bit mean, but you know what I mean! We can all huddle together - kind off - round our respective log fires!
Happy New Year! lets hope its kind to us all!

Great macro!!
That sure is a wonderful close-up. That flower is a world in itself.
Too funny, great minds eh LOL?!
That is an amazing photo Gill, thanks so much for sharing! We've had some pretty nasty weather in Montreal too for the last 24 hours, Lots of snow and wind and for some reason the plows haven't been doing that great a job? Probably because they didn't actually qualify this as a snowstorm, just lots of snow, but boy, is it slippery out there!
