Hi there........

Must say I am glad its the end of the week, I'm writing this on Friday night.  Molly had me up just after 5am on Friday morning, so of course by lunch time I was yawning like crazy at work.  I was glad to see 3pm, as I was pooped.  Anyhow I got most things done for Linda, so at least she'll not be rushed of her feet when she comes back from vacation.

Does anyone know why the older you get the more thicker longer eye brow hairs you get?  You know the ones that stick out or grow in a different direction to the rest of your eye brow hairs?  Just wondering...........

Here is your money saving tip for the day:

Don’t beat yourself up when you make a mistake. Even if you make ten good choices, it’s easy to beat yourself up and feel like a failure over one bad choice. If you make a big mistake and realize it, think about why you realized it now instead of then, and try to apply that later on. The memory of that mistake can end up being very valuable, indeed.

Sorry for such a short post, I am just plain tired tonight (Friday)

Before I forget I wanted to say how lovely your header photo is. No answer for the eyebrow thing either. I guess I am tired too. Have a great weekend.

Hope you have a good nights sleep Gill.

It is a horrible feeling when one doesn't have enough sleep.

Not much happening here, just staying inside keeping cool from our latest heatwave. I measured the temperature at 111.2F today with more to come. Aggghhhh!!

Have a good weekend,

Tania

I don't know the answer to the eye-brow question, but the stylist that does my hair told me that thicker eye-brows are "the style." Maybe she was trying to make ME feel better and get a better tip--It worked!! :-))

I also liked the quote at the end of your post--Great advice!

Hope you get some rest this weekend! You deserve a break today, besides, it's too cold to go anyplace! We warmed up to 10 degrees above this morning. All the world difference between that and 0. You keep anything below zero, send Carol the snow, and I'll be happy.

Eyebrows. I quit messing with them. Tired of two sets, the penciled ones and the raised set. Now I just use the guys' trimmer and shave them a little shorter. For dress-up, I might remember to brush them with a toothbrush and pinch a little of my setting gel across them. It's an adjustment at first -- if you're accustomes to the sharply penciled brows -- but I like it fine now. Besides, they are hidden mostly behind the glasses frame. Saves time and money.

We tell all here!

Liz, in the warmer Republic

I don't know, but some of those eye brows are so deeply rooted they make me sneeze when I pluck them!

I hope you are able to get some rest this weekend. Send some warmer weather this way, would you please? I'm weary of the arctic winds and snow.

I hope you got more sleep today, lack of sleep is always is always a drag.

As for the eyebrows, I've never had to pluck mine so I don't know. You could use the nearly fail proof method to find out though: Google it!

I haven't had any long, thick eyebrow hairs yet...I also don't pluck, shave, wax, tweeze, etc., mine. They're blonde and they're thin enough as far as I care, so I've always been au natural. I do know that hormones have something to do with the blanking beard hairs I have to pluck more and more of each passing year. (Thankfully they're blonde too so not too noticeable to anyone who isn't 2 inches from my face.) Wonder if it's the same for eyebrows...hormones.

Hubby has very long bushy eyebrow hairs anyway. Eventually his head will be bald, but no one will know because he'll be able to comb his eyebrows up over his bald scalp!

I have the same eyebrow problem, but I think I have the answer. As you get older the hair on your legs and under your arms gets thinner. All the hairs that use to grow in those areas get together and decide to grow thicker and longer on your eyebrows. They do that just to make us mad. LOL Patricia

Hello. I had to chuckle when I read your remark about wayward eyebrows. I was wondering the exact same thing this morning while applying make up. I think I will have to do a Google search now and see if I can learn what causes this.
Unfortunately I also noticed a few white hairs taking up residence in my brows!

I guess we shoud be happy that we don't have those wayward hairs growing from our noses and ears. Or will that happen too?
LOL
