It looks so happy in your garden - it seems to be beaming up at the sun.
gorgeous!
What a lovely color, Gill! God's creations are always the most amazing.
I've not tried planting any poppies here on the Farmstead ~ perhaps I should give some a try come spring time.
Oh my gosh, that is the biggest poppy I have ever seen!!!
I hope your poppies flourish next spring, Gill.
Good week for you, dear!
Surely that is an award winning poppy - it is HUGE!!!!!!
Poppies are such alluring flowers; their colours, frills and soft, papery petals. I thought they were all annuals and had to be sown. I used to have poppies in my garden. Here I have not seen them for a long time. I hope you are successful transplanting those pretty poppies.
Pretty! I love poppies, hopefully these will grow back for you.
My goodness it's shuge as my grand daughter says. Beautiful colour too.
A beautiful poppy Gill, great photo. Do hope you see them next Spring.
I hope they did transplant for you! They don't last long in the garden, but when they are blooming they are show stoppers.
I've never seen one quite like that. Sure hope it makes it through the winter to grow this spring at your new house.

I love these big red poppies. We saw them at the Goathland railway station on the North York Moors Railway. I miss Yorkshire and the British countryside. I have found that blogs originating from Britain help to keep me up to date.
The color SCREAMS fall ~ good time to post this beauty.
What a great entry you have! Worth visiting here. Mine is up! Hope to hear from you soon. God Bless!
What a gorgeous, vividly shaded poppy! :) I love how the centre looks like a lolly :P
