I am a novice where this is concerned, but I thought I'd share what I have done so far.
This is the first ever thing I did. It is hand sewn, hand appliqued and hand quilted. The only thing that was machine sewn was the front of the binding. Came to the conclusion I don't like hand quilting after that...LOL
This one I made for dd this past Christmas:
This is the one I made for ds this past Christmas.
This one I made for dh and is made out of flannel and is a lap quilt. To my mind its more like a twin sized quilt and it is the biggest I have made so far. It's on the back of the sofa where dh sits.
This one I made for my mother for her birthday in February. Its supposed to be a wall hanging, but I think she uses it as a centrepiece on her dining room table.
This one sits on the back of the living room sofa and I hand quilted this one.
I haven't quilted in a while, although I have a flannel baby quilt cut our ready to sew. I have to get back into it!!!

These are so beautiful and how clever you are to make them. I love them but have never actually tackled anything like this myself. I have a favorite one-and-only on the bed in our spare room. It's getting quite old now. Time for me to buy another one maybe? :))))
thanks Denise. Why not take a class and make a quilt, its a lot of fun.......
One of these days I will do that. Thanks for planting the seed. In the meantime I shall enjoy other's talents. I had a chance to look at your quilts again, you have a great eye for color and putting things together - first class!
I love that table runner, actually the pattern looks familiar. The table and shelves with plates looks lovely too, just my cup of tea!
I also want to try quilting one day, but have to add it to the list of to do's!
the welsh dresser and the table and chairs, are actually the only pieces of furniture we have left that came with us from Britain, other than a couple of smaller items.
The table runner is a basic pattern, and you could add whatever applique you wanted this was my own design.
So beautiful! Wow... Someday if I get a sewing machine maybe I'll try to really learn to do quilts instead of just doing baby-sized ones by hand! Yours are so neat!
Amy, thank you for those kind words.
These are beautiful! You are very talented.
thank you, Jasmine..........
I love the one you made for your hubby and the one for your mom....but all are nice.
