I first got this recipe in 2002 from Main Street Mom from a lady who has since passed away. She was a treasure and I am sure she won't mind me sharing this recipe with you all. (again I have altered it slightly)
BBQ Beef Cups
1/2 lb ground beef
1/2 cup BBQ Sauce
1 small onion chopped, or 1 tablespoon dried minced onion
1 package refrigerated biscuits, I use the Pillsbury ones
1/3 cup shredded cheese
Preheat oven to 350 oF. Grease the cups of a muffin pan.
In a medium skillet brown the beef and onion over medium heat. Drain off the fat.
Add BBQ sauce and simmer over a low heat for a few minutes.
Flatten each raw biscuit out and press into the cups of the muffin pan.
Spoon a portion of the meat mixture into each dough cup. Bake in preheated oven for 12 minutes.
Sprinkle the tops with cheese and bake for another 3 more minutes.
Enjoy!!!
As there are ten biscuits in a tube, it makes 10 beef cups. We enjoy our with a salad. Its a quick and easy, and cheap recipe. I hope you will try it?

Gill, this recipe looks great! I am going to have to try it. Great blog.
Im also going to give this one a try, looks great and something everyone will love. thanks for posting it!
It is a great recipe and very simple to make. I FOF the Pilsbury Biscuits, so it makes it even cheaper.
Thanks for posting on my blog.
Hi Gill!
Thanks for posting on my blog. Hugs!
Love the FOFed biscuits!!! LOL! I make a couple variations of this one: taco seasoning on the ground meat & cheese on top, sloppy joe style, but not so sloppy, and another with beef gravy (very little) and lots of diced up peppers (heart burn city, but hubby loves it!) And I found out they bake up just fine in the toaster oven! YAY...less electricity and less heat generated.
nothing I make is complicated, and can be adapted in a variety of ways. I only make this when I can FOF the biscuits!!!!
Fish cake recipe will be showing up tomorrow!!!
