Today's Flower........

I picked up a bunch of white and a bunch of red carnations this week, as we put the house up for sale, and I thought they would be a cheerful spot on the front hall table, for when people walked in to view the house. Plus carnations have a longer life span in our house. The last photo is my favourite.

Gorgeous carnations Gill, lovely photos. Flowers are a great focal point for potential buyers. That and the smell of baking was always something we were told to do. I used to do a LOT of baking to put in the freezer when we sold ours, especially bread :))))

I love flowers too and Carnations have to be one of the best (besides roses). I love that they last so long. Great pictures.

Pretty Gill. I'm sure your house looks very nice for 'showing.' Carnations are perfect to have around since they last longer than many other flowers.

Keep us posted on the house..
Hugs,
Betsy

Hi, thanks for visiting me today. So nice to have you there. Your flowers here are so pretty, combination of red and white. Seeing it makes me feel so Indonesian! :p I don't know if we have carnation here in East Borneo, I think I should check it.

So pretty! They look lovely and carnations do have such a nice "shelf" life. Good luck with your house. Blessings, Heather

They are the best flowers because they have such long staying power ... for weeks sometimes. Plus they look nice too!

Lovely idea to brighten your home.

Have we had so much snow this winter that you feel you need to move? Oh dear!

If those flowers don't help you sell the house, there must be something wrong with the buyers.

I think carnations seem to last longer than any other.
