Today's Flower

Here are a couple of my lovely poppies that I grow, these were taken in July of 2008, a bit of colour to brighten a cold snowy day.

Love your poppies, Gill. Such a neat, little flower. I can't wait to see more of the types of flowers you grow up there in summer.

Hugs,
Betsy

Wonderful poppies! I don't think I have ever seen ones with feathery edges like in that first shot, or ones quite the colour of the second shot!!
Thanks for sharing!

What beautiful poppies. It's very nice today in Tennessee, but more wintry weather is said to be on its way. UGH.ma

Pretty flower. There is something for you at my blog. If you go down to my post about yards sales and check the comment, you can see how to place it on your blog.

I'm happy I could give it to you.

Thanks for a nice shot of spring in the midst of this snow-covered winter. I love how poppies look so papery and the colours are gorgeous! I have a huge one in my front flower bed - it's that vibrant coral colour and it is stunning in the springtime!

Gill, your poppies are marvelous. I admire their different colours with the dark blotches quite distictive.

The state plants red poppies here in the medians of the highway a lot. I keep saying I want to plant some but haven't.
Yours are lovely and wonderful to look at during these drab winter days.

I've never seen such poppies, I know only the plain red and white kind. Gorgeous.

Stunning! I love to find poppies in the spring but haven't had much luck growing them. The dark orange are such a big memory from my childhood. Thanks for sharing!
