I should be Miss Marples, or work as a CSI......

We had a couple of people view the house on Saturday. We went out so I have no idea who exactly came, but I can tell you someone brought a couple of kids with them, as there were hand prints all over my patio door glass, probably a three year old and a five year old!!!

Someone used the toilet........how did I know......they left the toilet seat up, and I never ever leave the toilet seat up and have trained dh to not leave the toilet seat up either. I think it is icky to have the toilet seat left up in my humble opinion.

Plus someone sat on one of the recliners, as the cushion was not in it's original position.

Oh the joys of having people looking at your house. Lets hope one of the people who came around on Saturday fell in love with it and wants to buy it!!!

We checked out the town closest to the house we are looking at today (Saturday) and were pleasantly pleased with it. It even has a quilting store, although I didn't see it. So I have to say I am even more excited about it all. Plus its only a ten minute drive from the house, so pretty convenient.

Can just imagine you hunting around looking for clues! Perhaps they just lifted the lid of the toilet to peek inside but if there were children with them they probably wanted to go! Do hope you get a buyer very soon. A x

And Miss Marple always has a well trained girl to do all those "bits" we don't like doing ourselves, LOL, Margaret

I wouldn't like people going through my house either but in this case, it's a good thing I guess?

Good luck!!

You sounded so much like my mother, I had to laugh...I once heard her comment that she'd rather light a match and burn the house to the ground than have strangers trooping through handling her "things". Need some lighter fluid?
well wishes on the move

Sandi's comment was pretty funny. I don't like people traipsing through and touching my things either. Good luck with the sale.

Continuing to pray you get a buy soon. It definitely can be frustrating selling a home.

Well, yuck. I don't know what a body can do these days. Let's just hope the house sells soon and you don't have to put up with this much longer. Your new place sounds wonderful -- not too close to town but just close enough. Hope it all works out soon. Have you go your crock pots packed yet?

Ew..who uses other people's toilets??
It must have been a kid. I can remember looking around a house with my youngest ds and (little asperger's gem that he is) he needed the loo. Being him, and the house being filty..he took one look at the loo and declared (very loudly) that he would rather use a bush!
Oh the hame...needless to say, we didnt buy that house! Perhaps it is a compliment that they used your loo after all hehe

Not sure how'd I'd feel about strange ppl doing things in my house! :) But... how else to sell it!

Good luck and, yes, hopefully someone loved it and it sells quickly.

Oh I just can't do with the toilets being left up either. It's a good job I've trained my boys well. Good luck with the sale of your house. And thanks so much the the tip last week, it was great to see it published on the website :-D x

lol! Oh my, I remember house hunting and wouldn't think of sitting on someone's furniture or using their washroom. It'll be over soon and hopefully you'll be in your new home before you know it. Blessings, Heather

Oh the joys of selling your home. I went through this far too recently (almost 2 yrs now). We put a sign inside the front door to please remove your shoes, because you know if you don't ask, they won't.

And to use someone's toilet! How rude! The sitting in the chair would bug me too - they are looking to buy the house, not the furnishings.

When we went looking at houses, my 10 yr old was instructed to touch NOTHING! We were just looking and any touching (opening doors etc...) would be done by his Dad or I.
