Here is a photo of one of their buildings, they had another large one, just down the street, they must be doing well!!!

In amongst all the high rises and construction is a beautiful old church built in 1876 called St. Andrews Church.
This plaque was out front that tells you more of the history of the church.
There was also a plaque further down the street, detailing a scenic walk through parts of Toronto. I'll have to see if dh fancies doing that one day.
Here are a couple more views of the CN Tower as we were heading along the Gardiner Expressway, they were taken from the truck.
To the right is the Exhibition Place where the annual CNE is taking place at the moment.
Dd goes to the University Of Toronto, and there are some beautiful old buildings in that area, so will see if we get chance to go down there on Labour Day weekend and take a few photos.

One of my friends lived in Toronto for a few years, he loved it there. He is back in the UK now but has return visits every year! Looks a nice place.
You call 1876 old? The cathedral was founded in 1079, and most of the fabric is at least seven hundred years of age (including myself - no, only kidding. I just feel it sometimes).
I lived and worked in TO for years and years...and it's a fun place to visit, but I must say I'm glad I don't live there anymore.

I love Toronto...to visit. I go there often for business. There are some amazing little streets to shop with really nice eateries and I love going by the water and just looking over the lake. I hope you get a chance to do that. That old church is really neat, I have seen it as well and its refresing amongst all the ivory towers :)

Love these photos of Toronto. There are some fantastic old buildings all thoughout the U of T downtown campus -- we often walk through there. Very very pretty grounds, especially after all the rain this summer!

Not sure if I would like to live downtown, dd loves it though and I think its a young persons town, I know everytime we go downtown we have a great time, but living there all the time, I'm not sure....also we couldn't afford the size of house we have now if we lived downtown. $500,000 doesn't go very far!!!

Beautiful pictures! We go to T.O. often. Dh is from Newmarket. I agree it is a great place to visit as long as I know I can go home soon. lol
