Finally I have some tomatoes that are ready to pick, its taken a while this year....
Now for the warning......when you don't do any gardening for two weeks this is what happens..........
The lettuce bolt:
Garlic goes to seed:
Veggie garden overgrown:
Thistles as big as your Lupins:
bigger than the butternut squash:
thistles heading towards the height of the Delphiniums:
and the front garden isn't much better:
so I guess I am going to have to tackle this garden this weekend, with a couple of big garden waste bags..........wish me luck!

Shoot...my lettuce shot up to 4 feet high & went to seed a few weeks ago :( I'll put them in a cooler spot of my garden next year.
What plant has the purple flower spikes there?
Weeds went wild here, too...all the rain's kept me indoors. Now that it's sunny I've been running errands.
*sigh* what an off year, eh?
Rachel, I have no idea.............and I know what you are doing....FOF-ing!!!!
What a beautiful garden you have there! I lived in England a few years and my Dad's from England, so I really miss your home.
Love,
Kelly
I'm looking... But I'm not seeing all the imperfections you are talking about, your garden looks beautiful!
By now you will have had some time in it so I'm sure you will feel more satisfied with it's appearance and hopefully refreshed too -- I always find gardening so therapeutic.
Take care,
Helen
