Forgot to tell you about the oil delivery last week. They charged us nearly $1.22 a litre for oil. So our bill was over $600 for the month???? We normally average around $1,800 a year for our oil. So far this year it has cost us just over $1,100. That's just bloody crazy. We have been turning up the heating when people have been visiting the house but even so.
Got an email from Sarah to say that the home inspection went well on our house, YEAH for that. Also the couple had an offer on their house subject to financing and home inspection. So fingers, toes and everything else crossed that all goes well.
I had to blow out the driveway again yesterday, as did dh when he got home. We have a couple of issues with our snow blower which has resulted in the shear pins being broken off one side of the blower and the plug is now broken, so no electric start {{{SIGH}}} Fingers, toes and everything crossed again we don't get too much snow until dh can repair it. As I find it really hard using the pull start, as does dh with his suspected torn rotator cuff. He finally has an appointment for an MRI on the 24th of this month.
I also finally got around to contacting a lawyer in town to see what was what regarding the house sale and purchase. I bet we don't see much change if any out of $5,000 when all is said and done. What with the set fee's, taxes, disbursements, title insurance and Land Transfer Tax. Also enquired about getting an updated will and power of attorney for us both and that is $600 plus taxes {{{SIGH}}} We need to get that done though, so we may as well do it when we are at the lawyers office. We would be getting what they call "Mirror Wills," plain, simple and straight forward. If I die dh gets everything, if he dies I get everything. If both of us die the kids split everything half and half...............wonder what they'll do with their $20...LOL
Do you have your will's prepared?

I sound like a broken bloody record.......
this weather is just plain depressing. The wind has been blowing a gale up here, which in turn blows the snow all over the driveway and blocks us in. Dh has a pick up truck so he can get out, but my little car will not drive over the snow drifts. So I had to blow out the driveway again on Tuesday and know for a fact it will be to do again today.
Did some more decluttering and have a lot of things to drop off at the charity shop today. I am getting rid of a lot of older Christmas lights. I also got a lot more things put away in the kitchen. It is looking so bare, but clutter free is best on the counter tops right?
Finally I know you have all been wondering about my legs........I made the first pass with the razor on my legs on Tuesday. Figure by the end of the week my legs should be hair free!!!! Already feeling a bit colder down there!

Who said you have to be young and agile to do the splits?
I'm middle aged and cream crackered (knackered) and more or less managed to do them..........
Actually it wasn't quite the splits, as if I had actually done the splits I would be in emergency now with various parts of my body in traction. As it is I am just aching in places. How did I do this, well it's bloody well snowing up here. Dd was saying it was raining in the city, but we couldn't have that up here now could we, so it's snowing and it's the wet heavy stuff!!
So being the good wife that I am, I decided to snow blow the driveway and there is ice under the snow. So one of my feet went one way the other, the other way; luckily for me I was hanging onto the snow blower and was able to right myself.
This should be the last time I snow blow for the season (as she touches wood, her head) as once I get my hand done next week, I won't be allowed to snow blow for at least six weeks (that's what I am telling dh!!), so I thought I'd make the effort today, to show willing.
Now to sit down and whine on at dh about parts of my body aching..........gosh I am just a ray of sunshine today!!!
(Actually it is true, I can't lift anything over 10 lbs once I get my cast off for a month, and it is heavy hard work snow blowing.)

Hard day, I smell nice and the price of milk!!!
Blew out the driveway twice on Friday but I think I have it more or less got it all cleared..........well until the next snowfall. It was hard going with the wind. I managed to get it cleared so I could go to town. My brother's birthday is on the 10th and I hadn't got his card put in the mail. Should get there in time though as the mail to Britain is pretty good. I was only out an hour and by the time I got back the driveway was partially covered, so I blew it out again after lunch.
I went for a shower after doing the driveway a second time and after I got out my skin was dry so slathered some Mango and Mandarin Body Lotion by Bath and Bodyworks on my body. It smells so nice; I love the smell of citrus, very invigorating. Mind you in my case not invigorating enough, as I couldn't be bothered to put my clothes on and spent the rest of the afternoon in my dressing gown.
While in town this morning I nipped into the grocery store to pick up a couple of things, including milk. We buy our milk in bags, I talked about it a while back on this post Anyhow I see that they have put the price of milk up, it is now $4.47 at No Frills for a 4 litre bag, it was $4.17.........now that is just under a gallon in the Sates and just over a gallon in Britain. What is the price of milk where you live?
Everything is going up in price though I am finding...........

You will be proud of me..........
I did 30 minutes of exercise on the Wii Fit. Very proud of myself, I even managed to score a couple of more games for completing certain exercises. I have discovered though my sense of balance is way off, as it keeps telling me I am "unbalanced." What the Wii doesn't know is how "unbalanced" I really am!!!
I have fallen in love with the ski jump thing on there and am not too bad at that. I did the basic running game, thought I was going to collapse while doing that, but I did manage to keep up with the fella in front of me though.
The music and talking irritates the heck out of Molly though. She doesn't do a full howl but just whines while I have it on.
Also I was busy snow blowing today, as the bloody wind was blowing a gale and filled in the driveway again, so more exercise for me.
So I would say an hour of snow blowing + 30 minutes of being on the Wii = plenty of exercise for one day!!
How many Quality Street did I eat...........I could say none, but we all know that would be a big fat lie, now wouldn't we!!
