and glad that the holidays are over with, so we can get back to normal? Oh, and know exactly what day it is? I have been so confused with having Christmas, Boxing and New Year's Day's through the week. Never know whether it's a weekday or a weekend?

I'm in the same boat Gill. With many of our family members sick, Christmas and New Years dinners had to be rescheduled. New Years dinner is still on hold.
My partner is still on "holiday" until tomorrow so hopefully once we get back into our normal routine we will all feel "normal" again.
Happy New Year to you and yours Gill!
I'm always happy to see the backside of the holidays. Won't be able to take the decorations down until tomorrow (DH likes them up until after New Year's day whereas I would take them down Dec. 26th if I had my way).
I have just found your lovely blog
I lived through the worst Christmas and New Year - my darling husband died in March - he was only 63. He loved Christmas . I can’t celebrate it without him

As I get older I find myself looking at my calendar a lot more often as I age. This year the holidays were very confusing!!!!
God bless.
I am glad the holidays are over too Gill.
Never knowing what day it is has become a familiar situation for me ever since I retired!
And yes, I am thrilled that is all over with. I am not Christmas's biggest fan.
Happy New Year!
