Watery Wednesday

I took these photos of the Nottawasaga River on Saturday. The river was flowing very fast as we had, had a big thaw during the week. It looked very powerful.

Great shots! That does look powerful. I don't think I'd want to get caught it that but it must have been something else to watch.

Oh wow that water does look strong. Hope you don't have flooding because of all the thawing of snow.
Hope you have a wonderful week.

I'd say "furious" fits the scene pretty well.

Wish we had some water in our River Torrens - last week an engine blew at the weir so a lot of water escaped and went out to sea. Great photos.

I like your river pictures, Gill. We haven't seen rivers flowing like that down here in a long time. You have thaws, we need rains.

That's a current you wouldn't want to get caught in, especially with it being so cold. Looks like chocolate milk.

That thaw caused some ice jam flooding problems in the usual places every year. I don't know how those people can stand having their basements flooding year after year. Your photo really catches the power of water...Michelle
