cutting back on mailing Christmas cards this year. Mainly cutting back on the ones to Britain, but cutting back all the same.
And you know what..........it feels good and well overdue..........
How about you?

I stopped mailing Christmas cards several years ago. I only mail out a couple now, is all. No one was sending me any anymore, so I finally joined the club :)
I just send email greetings.
I stopped sending Christmas cards years ago. My husband persisted longer (he
has a bit of a guilt complex) but stopped a couple of years ago. We barely
celebrate Christmas (we're not religious, don't have children and don't
have any family living nearby) and I resented doing something that meant
nothing to me just because it was somehow expected.
I cut back on Christmas cards a few years back. But I am thinking of cutting back even more this year.
God bless.
I still love sending and receiving cards so I am keeping our list pretty much as it was. There is always someone we add and occasionally someone we drop, but not often.
I so love sending cards but the postage gets insane, especially outside of your own country.
I am on the fence so far about cutting back on my mailing list.
I am trying to maintain it a little longer, sadly the postage costs are getting a little heavy for my purse. I am going to look at some ecards apparently there are sights that are free.
I don't send Christmas cards anymore.
I buy a card for my mother , other than that I don't bother, those who know me realise that Xmas isn't for me , I just don't get it never have that's why me and mr bah humbug are so well suited...lol
I cut back a few years ago, not just on Christmas cards but on all mailings.
I have been thinking about this - it kind of feels like a wasteful expense. Stamps are so expensive. I think I will send out e-cards or something instead.
My brother died in November so that Christmas I didn't send any cards and I didn't miss doing it. And apparently no one missed not getting them.
The next year I didn't feel Christmassy either and as I didn't send any no one sent any to me.
That was 19 years ago and I haven't sent any since.
Turns out all those years I only got cards from those I sent to.
I don't think this is th Christmas spirit so I decided I liked not having them all over the house and having to clean around them
I send a few but not as many as I used to.
I have almost given up on Christmas cards. mum and sister still send /receive, brother hasnt done either for a number of years. In laws haven't been in touch for some time and December has been a band month for the last 5 years, with deaths, medical diagnoses and major car accidents which means I havent sent many myself. Do I feel bad, no, because I sent them to the inlaws and sister in laws for many years with no acknowledgement
We send photo cards to family and friends and our annual Christmas letter. We have cut our list down a little but we still send cards to those we receive from.
I have been cutting back for years. Now it seems I only send to those who send to me. I have noticed that when I do send the one card that is not reciprocation I promptly receive a card in response which tells me they weren't going to send me one in the first place. It is sort of a game. I have a few that I send all the time, mostly to family but I have really stopped sending them.
I am going to try once more this year to encourage people to talk to us via email by putting our details on the cards. And next year it is going to be only people who have bothered to talk to us during the year who will get a greeting from us.
I cut back a few years ago it is too expensive. I think everyone is cutting back. Hug B
I just founding best card to give my mom on this Christmas.
I have a subscription to Jaquie lawson internet greeting cards, they are so gorgeous! I send one or two cards to uk, to people who don't have computers, the rest are internet. And I make make own cards using linocut for people near and dear to me here in Canada. In fact I may post a pic of this year's linocut card design.
I stopped sending cards when I was too sick and broke one year. I wanted to send some but didnt have energy. I discovered the world didn't end. I prefer to keep in touch with those dear to me during the year because a bulk mail is too difficult.
