Another one bites the dust..........

In this case it's my powerhead from my central vac.  We have been in this house just over two years and this will be the second time I have had to have it replaced.  I have no idea what I do with it, but I have such bad luck with vacuum cleaners.  I am hoping that it will be replaced under warranty like the last powerhead was.

I have made up my mind that I will get the Dyson V8 cordless Vacuum when I have saved up enough pennies!!

I just have too many other things that need my pennies at the moment!

We bought a 'Henry'. He was cheap as chips and sucks dirt like crazy. I wasn't impressed with my Dyson at all. My other choice would have been a vax as my friends Vax has a 'super amount of suck' on it. Almost lifts the dirt out of the foundations never mind the carpet.

I like my Dyson though it isn't cordless. It's great with pet hair, thank goodness!

So sorry that you are having such bad luck with power nozzles.

My old vac is hanging in there, but I have started to price out brands and watch for sales. It is on it's last legs I believe.

God bless.

Since I married in 1966, I have had two vacuums. The first one did not quit. The hose was some sort of fabric that became so porous it did not such. This second one is a Royal and will suck the chrome off a trailer hitch! Even though this one is almost 24 years old, I hope it will be my last, working until I no longer need a vacuum.

A new vacuum is on our list too. I want a Dyson. We have had ours forever and it isn't very great!

I had wondered about these for the quick clean-up. I read the newer post and what the guy said about it. I had thought of it being heavy.

I have a Dyson big vac that I got in May...I have a love/hate relationship with it. I LOVE it for carpet...it does a super job. I love that it is bagless.

I don't like it for bare floors. The hose is coiled so tight that it is a struggle to pull it out and use it. I was hoping it would relax, but it doesn't.

You can turn the powerhead off till it doesn't rotate, but it is such a pain to me to use it and try to vacuum around the table, etc. Plus I just don't think it does as good as my old vacuum on bare floors. And the crevice tool could be better...
