into this:
I will never ever use a skein of yarn as is, it must be put into a ball before I use it!!
I picked up this magazine the other week, I love it, it has so many great ideas in it. You can get it in Chapters here in Canada:
It came with a free kit to make a spotty dog key chain. So I wasted an hour doing that...LOL
Did manage to get the closet doors finished, that has been a job and a half, due to my incompetence. You wouldn't have thought I have been painting/decorating houses since we bought our first house when I was 18 years of age. I swear I am getting more senile as I get older.
The other day Craig featured the following artist. I had never heard of this guy before, but his is very talented:

Haha! That will teach you not to cut corners. Love the colour.
LOL I wonder..if we counted up all the time we spent making balls of wool..how many years would it be :)
Oh I have wasted hours doing that too. My Mom always loved that job. I had no problem letting her do it:) Hug B
Tangles can be fiercely irritating! I'm sure deep thoughts and brilliant ideas danced through your head as you wound😊
I very rarely wind my yarn into balls before a project. However I always wind the leftover yarn into balls. I'm not sure why because I enjoy knitting with the balls even more. I detest the knots that are found in the wound skeins. Your magazine looks so fun. We have one here that may be a bit like it called "Molly Makes". It always has a kit of some sort in it.
Blessings,
Betsy
No to be smart, but how did it take 4 hours to wind a skein into a ball? Even before I got my yarn swift (very recommended BTW) it only takes about 15 min to hand wind a ball. But what happened to the skein? Did you try winding it loose? Don't swear-off skeins, that's how all the really beautiful hand-paints are wound. Just enlist Hubby, the back of a chair (I've even used my own feet to hold it) or get a yarn swift. I hate buying pre-wound balls, they are usually such a mess when you try to pull out the centre end.
Four hours... yikes!
If you are doing something necessary or something fun, time is never wasted! At least I try to tell myself that.
I remember rolling the yarn up into a ball for my Mom. What a joy that was to do! Glad you got all the closet doors done. One job off your list! Have a great weekend.
You must have got into some tangle with the winding or did you get distracted? I love the colour of the yarn.
You are a pacient woman, i say!
BShell
hubby did mine last time
I do tasks like that while watching TV. Less boring then.

Hubby bought me a yarn winder for Christmas and it's been brilliant, your doggy key ring is cute xx
Wow I wouldn't have done it. I would probably have thrown it out before I finished it. Looks like a great magazine.
You have more patience than me. Juzzie is getting good exposure from you, me and J in the states. I wonder if we'll get paid for helping his career?! The more I hear him the more I like him, he's very talented.
The little doggie is cute. Time is never wasted. It was a learning experience lol
