Some bright pops of colour......

We went to the Home Show at the garden centre on Saturday.  Truth be told, there wasn't much for us there, but it didn't cost us anything to go in so that was good.

We were greeted by this guy when we walked in, his name is Boomer and he is the largest therapy dog I have ever seen; but what a big suck he was!
I took some photos of the houseplants they have for sale.  These Pouch Flowers were really pretty.

I think the yellow colour was my favourite.
The Kalanchoe's are always a hit in my books.

Gerber's Daisies are always so pretty as well.
Mind you not everything I saw was "real" and their artificial flowers were just as pretty.  This one was a favourite with me:
Finally here is what I have got done so far on my cross stitch project:
Enjoy your Sunday.

I love going to home shows; I could wander around for hours!

Woohoo, you're going gangbusters on your cross stitch; hope it isn't messing up your thumb.

Some pretty flowers here. Hopefully you will get some of our weather soon. We are in the double digits and no snow.

Free is always good then you don't mind it if it didn't meet your expectations. Lovely to see flowers in bloom. Nice start on the cross stitch. That knitting lesson is coming up this week :)

Garden centers are so much fun to just walk around and look at everything. What is your cross stitch going to be? It almost looks like an owl and I love owls!!

I am more an edible garden person than a flower garden person.
But I do try and put some ornamental things into the garden here. Always been a fan of coleus though since the color is in the leaves and it doesn't bloom and die quickly.

Oh, the yellow for me, too...not that I don't like the others, but they caught my eye in the corner of the photo above it.

I love the cross stitch. I have one, my late mother started it, and I'm still not finished. I got into a snag and just put it down, rather than getting frustrated.
I love the flowers. Normally they charge you to get in. Nice it was free entrance.
cheers
