This popped up in my memories

over on Facebook.  It made me smile.......

This is Miss P. when she was around 6 months old.  Her sister was singing and playing the ukulele.  I guess she wasn't impressed!!😂  I need to scan a photo of our youngest grandson, as I have a great photo of him as well that makes me smile!!

Crafting....

I had picked up this diamond art kit a while back from Michaels.  As you can see it's a bookmark kit.

I had the girls overnight on the weekend and we decided to do this project as I knew it would be a fast one.  The girls are nearly 12 and 9.  Now in the 9 year old's defense she is more of an outdoors girl, so she lasted probably half an hour if that before she was bored.  The 12 year old and I completed our bookmarks in probably 90 minutes.

I also did a little bit of the background of the 9 year old's one as well.  So from left to right; 9 year old's one, 12 year old's one, and mine.

The quality of these are really nice; pretty heavy duty.  It's a simple project especially if it's your first time doing diamond art.  I would say it's probably suitable for ages 10 and up, unless they are very crafty; then possibly younger.

I would buy these again, and I have used these diamond art kits before from Michael's.

Nothing like telling the truth.........

Recently our daughter and her family had a couple of days away and they stayed in a yurt.  It was stinking hot and no a/c in the yurt just fans.

After one night the 3 year old, asked to go home as she didn't want to sleep in the SHED anymore........

No more shed yurt holidays for them I guess!!

Out of the mouth's of babes!!

Sorry for not being around.....been a busy week...

Of course the most important thing that happened last week was the arrival off our Jeina.  The photo below was taken today (Sunday).  She is sleeping under the quilt I made her and with her elephant.  She is a cutie with super long fingers and gorgeous hair.
I fell on Monday morning and twisted my ankle, sort of.  Its all bruised, luckily I was in the bedroom at the time so fell on carpet; this happened at 6:30 am.  As my mother said it helps if you put tonic in with the gin............

The guys came and finished off the drywall and left me enough drywall dust to coat the whole of the neighbourhood.............wasn't that kind of them?  So I have been a tad busy trying to tidy up that mess.  Who knew drywall dust can get into everywhere, and I mean everywhere!  However, they did a super job, very pleased with the results.  Now I have to get on with all the painting.

Due to all of that I was a tad irritated by the end of the week, so the poor builders got it.  You would think they were building the Taj Mahal opposite us with the amount of workmen parked outside of our house.  They park where ever they feel like and generally are a pain in the butt.  So I had a full "toddler meltdown," on them on Friday.  Not sure what will come of it but I felt better afterwards...LOL

This week our next grand daughter is due to arrive, so it will be all systems go.  I will get caught up with everyone one of these days!! Have a good week.

Another update..............

Well my mam and step-father have gone back home.  The three weeks went by really fast and a good time was had by all.  They got to spend a lot of time with their great-grandchild and our little munchkin left them with many firsts.

Her first two teeth appeared while they were here.  They got to watch her swimming and finally clicking that when the instructor said one, two, three to close her eyes as she was going to be dunked under water.  They saw her roll over and even make a start on crawling.  Mind you it's more of a dragging motion than crawling at the moment, but she'll soon be moving faster no doubt.

I just wanted to clarify that is isn't our daughter that is expecting but Our Little Princess' mum that is expecting.  Although not true blood relatives I class them as one.

I need to start packing in earnest and get everything sorted out.  The house seems to be coming along, and unless told differently, three weeks today we will be moving.  Must say I will be glad when it all happens as it seems to have dragged on.

I have got another ear infection, and it doesn't seem to want to go away, so I am going to have to bite the bullet and go to the doctors.  I have better things to do than trail down to Brampton to the doctors, but needs must I guess.

The weather has finally changed and it is now hot.  Had hoped to not put the a/c on, but we'll see.

One job I have to do today is to ring around looking for insurance for the car and the house, as ours seems to have gone up AGAIN.  Again I have better things to do than spend half the morning on the phone!!!

Hope all is well is you all and will try and post more.

Say hello to Nora Christine.........

She was born at 5:03 am on Saturday November 16th (due date was December 3rd) weighing in at 6 lbs 1 0z.  Dd was induced due to blood pressure issues, but neither dd nor Nora was doing that great so dd had a c-section.

Nora is a sweet little girl who takes after no one but Nora herself.  She of course gave her Nana her first smile; mind you that could be something to do with the fact she had just filled her diaper and was obviously pleased with herself.  She has brown hair at the moment, but she will probably be blonde or light brown down the road like her parents.

Dd and Nora are in hospital for 48 hours due to the c-section; which to my mind is a blessing as I think they are released much too early nowadays.

I will be sharing more photos in the coming days.  By the way that newborn hat is miles too big.

Spoke too soon........

Not feeling well at all.  It is a sinus/head cold thing I have going on. (((SIGH)))  Will be back later on in the week, hopefully!  😰😩😩
