A couple of recipes........

Dh went grocery shopping with me this past weekend and he asked if I would make my fresh fruit salad.  I first posted this recipe in 2010 here.

This is so simple to make. You need the following:

1/2 cup (4 oz) sugar
1 cup (1/2 pint) water
juice of half a lemon

Boil the water and sugar until dissolved, add the lemon juice and let cool.

Chop up whatever fruit you have on hand and add to the simple syrup.
I then had a look at the zucchini patch and discovered these monsters:

I cut one up with some onions and fried them in a pan with some precooked sausages.  Added some garlic salt and pepper, and cooked them all together for around 15 minutes until all cooked through.  Simple and quick to make:
We had them with some leftover cauliflower and broccoli in cheese sauce.  I can actually say we had our quota of veggies and fruit for the day for a change!!!

I would love this :) I've been busy lately. We moved and today was the first time I'd opened my reader in ages. What do I see? You've been posting again! Yay! I saw you didn't care for the Wordpress results. I hate Wordpress blogs. I write for 2 others and have nothing but trouble when it comes time to post them. Very annoying. I don't like the format either. Reminds me....I need to reformat my blog and, well, post on it ;) Glad to see you're back!
