Have to say we have never set foot in McDonald's in an awful long time, infact I don't remember the last time we ate there. A burger in McDonald's has the same effect on me as taking a packet of laxatives!!! However in my magazines this month was a coupon for 50% off a salad. So on Saturday night we decided to have a quick meal.
Dh ordered the Big Mac combo and I ordered the Caesar Salad, plus a $1 drink. It still cost nearly $14. It's quite expensive to eat at McDonald's now. Mind you the place was packed, though we felt as though we were the oldest people in there. Dh did not enjoy his meal, even though the fries were straight out of the fryer, and they were still tasteless things.
As I said to dh, we are past the McDonald stage as our kids have grown and we don't have grandkids yet. Still I have to say I hope I don't become a regular even when we do have grandkids.......but I could be wrong there?
Do you like McDonald's? By the way when I was writing this I had to look it up to see if it was McDonald's or MacDonald's as I had no idea!!!
Had a very lack lustre Saturday, just wasn't feeling great, my stomach is playing up, plus my allergies are really bad AGAIN.........dh made up for it by working up a storm in the basement and got more drywall installed. We are getting the tiles on the floor installed next week, so need to finish up some stuff in there before then.
Have a super Sunday, off to church today haven't been in a while.........
Sunday am: Just spent a couple of hours catching up on everyone's blogs. The only people I couldn't leave comments on were John D at Tok Tok Place and Flower Power because of the Blogger thing and there not being an anonymous option. If I have missed leaving a comment on your blog, please let me know........

We took our grandson's there yesterday, it's the only time we go. And it wasn't very good and was $25 for 2 quarter pounder meals and 2 kids meals!!!
I have a new post up, if you want to catch up, it's been a long time since I posted.
blessings,
Niki
I have to agree, the taste isn't our cup of tea either. Much prefer A&W if it has to be fast food. Nope, no books yet. Hugs
Rarely go there, only if traveling and it's been that long since the last time where I forget how it affects me, or I think I won't have a problem this time. It is too greasy for my digestion and I feel out of sorts for the rest of the day.
The only thing I will have from McD's now are the miniature apple pies..or turnovers...whatever you call them in English and even then only when my Sweetheart and I are out on a long walk and need to make a bathroom stop, so we have to buy SOMETHING from them to use the facilities. The pies are the only thing we feel safe with.
I seem to have a craving for McDs about once every 6 months, and then I regret it. It never tastes as good as I think it will and yes also has a laxative effect on me too.
I would love to get together some time Gil, but I never get to Newmarket. I live in Bowmanville, just east of Oshawa.
We can figure something out sometime - maybe downtown TO or something.
No I don't like McDonalds either. I do, however, like Burger King, although I had an annoying happening there recently! McDonalds food tastes like plastic to me and I certainly won't be taking my grandson in there any time soon!
I have received your comments thank you, although I see you're still visiting as Anonymous. Isn't it odd how you can't comment properly anymore? Perhaps Blogger has a solution now?
Eww... Nope, none of that nasty stuff for me, thanks. I'd sooner starve. lol!
Had to eat Macca's on a couple of my 'drives' as they were the closest available food source - You are right, its stodgy, tasteless food and bitter coffee!
I have 2 grandboys (3-1/2 and 2) and brand new grandtwins (see my blog, they arrived yesterday) and I will never take either of them to McDonalds.
Never!
No matter how much they beg me.
Never!
I am not a McDonald's fan either...we have eaten breakfast there, but as for hamburgers....I bet I have not had one there in 30 years at least...I had chicken nuggets/tenders one time and didn't care for them...but then I am not a fan of them anywhere.
No, no, no McDonalds! Unless we are traveling and sometimes we will stop for an Egg McMuffin. I don't remember the last time I ate a hamburger there -- in fact I am not sure I ever have!
