There was a couple of $3 off coupons in the flyer when you spend $10 or more at Bulk Barn. So I decided to go and get a couple bags of Bird Seed to stock up. It was on sale for $5.49 a bag instead of the usual $6.99 a bag. I picked up two so I could use the $3 off coupon. I will pick up another couple next week so I can use next week's coupon as it is on sale for two weeks:
The two bags filled my bird seed container about half full:
The top container is where I keep Molly's dog food, notice my foot trying to keep the top open so I could take the photo:
I keep this container that I got from the kids for my birthday one year in the family room for when I fill up the bird feeders outside:
I am hoping for less than $20 that should keep me going most if not all of the winter, as when I have all four bags I will have over 70 pounds of bird seed.
Do you feed the birds? Where do you get your bird seed from?

Like those containers, yes I feed the birds and I get my feed. Right now I am getting them from the local supermarket. Probably need to start looking around for a better deal.
The birds/chipmunks/squirrels get whatever is left over from the pigeons daily food plus a few handfuls of pigeon mix. In the winter they get this plus sunflower seeds.

Love the containers. We use to feed the birds all the time. Here we don't have many, only blackbirds. We loved feeding the birds...they are such little characters. Hugs
wherever the sales are...and mostly have to travel into Owen Sound, as not too much in way of birdseed sales in Wiarton. Usually check the TSC flyers, or Canadian Tire the odd time.
I wondered what your bags weighed...I do feed the birds. Not hear as much as some people. But still spend enough. I know last year I got one 50 lb bag, and one 25 lb bags of sunflower seed, and I don't know how many bags of the wild bird seed mixture...and I even picked up one the other day and put some out....
I meant to tell you that I get my bird seed at two or three different places, sometimes local Walmart, sometimes a farm store, and sometimes the local building supply store.
Ouch!!! I had shivers up and down my spine when I read about the nail, hope it gets better soon.
Socks and sandals!!!!! LOL
I also feed the birds, being in the city, albeit on the outskirts, I do get quite a variety at my feeder during the Winter. I most get the seed from where ever it is on sale.
