Doing two things at once....

I can't remember where I read this, so I can't credit anyone for it.  Anyhow, someone was saying how they are learning to knit or crochet (again can't remember what) and so they are having to follow a pattern and can't watch tv and follow the pattern at the same time.  However she is managing to keep up with her soap opera by just listening to it.  Well I can confirm, it is possible to follow a soap opera by just listening to it.

I tend to do my swagbucks games while I am watching Coronation Street, and as I can't watch the tv and play the games at the same time, however I can listen to the episode and know exactly what is going on.  I guess it's a bit like listening to the radio?

I seem to be on a roll with Swagbucks at the moment, and am maxing out on the maximum of 5 x $5 Amazon e-cards per month.  I am saving up for dd bridal shower gift.  She knows about it so it isn't a surprise.  I'd rather get her something that she wants and will use.  Dd and other half are in Costa Rica at the moment lucky ducks.  The vacation was booked back in November of last year before the wedding plans were announced.

Carol is raising funds for this little guy.  It's basically the same situation as Olga, remember her from here.  It costs around $25,000 to adopt one of these children, so every little bit of money raised is a help for their future family.  Even $10 makes a difference.

In the days when I followed the 'soaps' I always crocheted or worked on a tapestry. As you say, it is easy to follow a programme just by listening.

Hello,
It feels like ages since I had any time to read your blog. I really like the new look.
Multi-tasking....hmm....yes, over the years I have become much more adept at it and find that it's a bit like juggling. :-)

I often do other things when I'm watching something. The actors are often just sitting or there's just scenery so it's not necessary to watch if you can tell the voices apart.

Thanks Gill for linking that Nicholas's link to your blog.

You should see it outside, I can barely see the neighbour's yard. We are getting snow and HIGH winds. Hugs

I am a multi-tasking pro...but when it comes to talking on the phone. I can talk on the phone while doing pretty much anything: surfing the internet, washing the dishes, doing data entry, yeah. Pretty much anything. I can also watch TV while ironing, but otherwise it gets a bit harder for me. Like I cannot write a blog post while watching TV...but I can do it while talking on the phone!!! lol

Yes, I agree that I could listen to a soap - just like radio. Corrie, though, I have to watch more closely. It must be the accents are a little trickier. Or maybe I just like it better. Never watch U.S. soaps any more.

Corrie is the only soap I watch and can watch it while multi-tasking. DH on the other hand, has to watch and listen closely as he has trouble with the accents and expressions.
I can easily watch TV and knit at the same time or even read. I find most TV shows quite boring except if DH is away and I can watch BBC Canada!
