Sorry and the Apron Swap

First of all sorry for not getting back to your blogs yesterday busy day.........reading!! This time "The Longing," by Beverly Lewis, I read "The Forbidden," by Beverly Lewis the other day, then that's it for the reading!!!

I participated in an Apron Swap back in September, and finally the person I made an apron for in Australia received it......10 weeks later!! Anyhow here are the photos, and I had some material left and made her a quilted pot mat as well. If you click on the photos, you will enlarge them, I had to get them from my photo bucket account, as I forgot to copy them to my main photo account, sorry.

This is one of my favourite songs from my childhood. Slade's "Merry Christmas Everyone." Is Top of The Pops still on tv? I never missed that when growing up......

Slade were FAB !!! no top of the pops hasn't been on for a long time - I think there was a revival on some channel but it didn't last . Used to love dancing along to all the Glam Rock !

What a great idea, an apron swap! Now I just need to practice with that dusty sewing machine of mine...

Funny that you mentioned Slade's 'Merry Christmas'--I was just telling my daughter this morning that when I first moved to Britain I really didn't like that song, but now I always think of happy, festive times when I hear it!! I love it too, now.

Great Apron! As for the Top of the Pops I don't believe that it is actually still on TV. I also never used to miss it when I was growing up.

TOTP's is no more. You never hear that Slade song over here at Christmas tho' it always seems to be playing in the background on English shows when it's Christmas, such as on Corrie.

Never mind Slade. What about Kid Jensen and Ahh the great John Peel! Brilliant to see them again.

I like the apron...it's really "snazzy"...I have Christmas music going all over the house, and Slade's is one of my favorites too...so Merry Christmas Dear Gill to your whole family, that includes Miss Molly!

The apron looks lovely. 10 weeks to Oz, it must have gone express LOL.

Enjoy the books. I used to get started on a Beverly Lewis and sit up all night to finish one!

Pretty apron!

What a beautiful apron!!! I wish I had one like that, my grandma used to have all kinds of beautiful aprons and I loved to wear them when I was little.

I wasn't very good about blogging yesterday either, I didn't even do my daily post, I'll have to merge it with today's.

What a cute apron. I need to get some made since I am starting to make more from scratch again. Where do you find your patterns for the aprons?
