Christmas trees, wrapping presents, and Christmas songs

Managed to get all the presents wrapped on Sunday, which is good.  I remembered last year I dragged it out over a few days.  Due to the fact that we have bought a number of people gift certificates, that doesn't take a lot of wrapping!!!  I have even got a bottle of wine and a box of chocolates wrapped up for just in case gifts; you know when someone pops in with a gift when you weren't expecting it kind of gift.  Always handy to have a couple on hand I think.

My brother was telling me they have a BLACK fibre optic Christmas Tree.  Now I have looked up on google for a Black Fibre Optic Tree and I found this one and have come to the conclusion I don't like black Christmas Trees.  I am a green traditional Christmas tree type of girl.  Do you have a different colour Christmas Tree, or are you traditional type of person?

I have always loved the David Bowie and Bing Crosby's version of "Little Drummer Boy."

I'm definitely not a black tree person. I would never buy anything but a green tree.

very traditional girl me - no fiberoptics in sight !

as regards the two blogs... The Hen House started because I wanted to get hens & I wanted a blog ! it's chatty & humerous ( when I feel chatty & humerous ) but later I got back into doing some art & wanted to keep that seperate.
Some of the very arty bloggers who do lots of challenges & sell stuff on Etsy have even more than two blogs !

Well, we currently have a green (artificial tree), but I'm looking for a black tree & will get one when I find one I like at a reasonable price. I've been collecting crystal ornaments & I have this vision of a black tree, simple clear lights & the crystals (& maybe a few hot pink baubles to liven it up).

My 9 y.o. has his own little tree, it's white. He has decorated it solely in red, white & silver ornaments. It looks great & he loves it.

A black Christmas tree? No, definitely not...I am very traditional when it comes to my trees. You're really good to have all your gifts wrapped, I haven't even done one yet and I don't even have all my decorations done. Not quite as much fun to do when you're alone to do it. I helped my mom do hers though and that was lovely!

I just read mums comment...i was going to say about those silly things.

A few years ago I would have loved a black/pink/any colour tree but now I am totally traditional! xx

While I think that black tree is interesting, I like the traditional green tree!
No envelope back yet -- guess it's stuck at Canada Storage.

I like green trees. I also avoid any decorations, cards, paper etc that has snow or snowmen on them as we live in the desert and it just doesn't fit. Now give me Santa riding a camel and I will SHOW you the money! ;-)

You've been busy! We currently have a green artifical tree - I love real ones but keep getting outvoted - if we do real we don't put it up until about a week before Christmas - the kids like the artifical tree because we can put it up earlier.

Green yes, white and gold yes, black and upside down? Why?
Who is so sad that they feel they need the extra attention a far-out tree will get them?
Love David Bowie though....Love the drummer boy too ;-)

Nope, plain ole green Christmas tree for me thank you!

I don't usually do my Christmas wrapping until a few days before Christmas. Gifts don't get placed under the tree until Christmas eve - I have a nosy 12 yr old :)

Thanks sooooo much for stopping by my place. It was a lot of fun to come by and meet you too. Enjoyed the David and Bing video.

Oh no, I wouldn't be up for a black tree.... I'm a romantic when it comes to Christmas (and other things too), so a pretty tree that feels 'old world' is for me.

Let's stay in touch... stay warm too!

I suppose the folks who have black & white decorating go in for the black trees. I don't like them. I don't like the black & white decorating either.

I, too, have a standard green tree. Though in the wild, Colorado Blues are my favourite! (I haven't seen fake ones that compare.)

I've blogged a bunch of trees & tree alternatives this week. I think I like tree alternatives and will go that route when our current tree retires.
