I learned something new..........

I bought a five pack of avocado's last week, as they were on sale for $2 for a pack of 5.  I had only got around to using the one and they were going soft.

So I went on the internet to see if you could freeze avocado's.  They said the best was was to puree first, then freeze.  Didn't know that?

It also said you can use avocado's in place of butter when baking at a 1 : 1 ratio.  Didn't know that either?

I normally only use avocado's raw and sliced in salad's.  What's your favourite way of using avocado's?

They are not my favorite thing to eat, its the texture. Did not know about freezing or baking with avocados. If you freeze how will you use them? If used in baking would it not make it green.

I have a hard time convincing the RC that avocadoes are good. I did see another blogger say that she likes them with Catalina dressing. Haven't tried it for myself yet.

Didn't know about using them to replace butter, although I do only buy avocado oil mayonnaise now as I'm trying to avoid any seed oils. Usually i have them with poached eggs on rye bread, i'll have to try them in a salad, not done that

If you put avocadoes in the fridge as soon as they're ready to eat they last a fair while.

I should try freezing them, I'm curious. I have a recipe for avocado black bean brownies that you would never believe taste really good!

I do enjoy eating avocados, full of healthy fats and you can use them in so many different ways.
How about a breakfast burger?

I have never tried an avocado, perhaps that is something I should try.

I enjoy avocado toast with a sprinkle of red pepper flakes or in salads.
