Back Home........

Tired though.  Had a straight forward drive back.  The only "exciting" thing that happened, we got stuck with the custom agent who had too much time on his hands!!!

As well as the usual questions about where we stayed, he wanted to know why we went there.  So mentioned the Amish and Mennonites.  Asked us if we were Amish or Mennonites how many British accented Amish or Mennonites are they in the world?

Asked how much we spent and then wanted to know what we spent it on.  So then I started on about the Peppa Pig ball pit, and Thomas the Tank Engine.  That shut him up!!  I guess he was only doing his job, and you know two "middle-aged" people with British accents would look a bit dodgy!

Will need to rest up and will get back to normal in a day or two.

We traveled over the border in Blaine when driving up to Vancouver SO MANY times and it used to be easy. Now, not so much.
Now you must have your passport ready.
I'm glad you had such a nice time and I'm glad you were able to find the ball pit. So funny!
I hope you rest up quickly and enjoy your homecoming!

There is always a jobs worth, whatever part of the world you are visiting. At the end of the day we would moan if they didn't do their job properly. Have a restful day.

My husband and I both laughed at this. We cross the border into BC every once in awhile. The questions get so frustrating at times. I guess we must look suspicious. :-). Customs with flying seems ever so much easier to me.
Blessings,
Betsy

As a fellow Brit I know what it's like! My husband is American and one day we were coming back into the US from Canada and they gave him a really hard time. Go figure!, he was the American lol.

Glad you made it home safe and sound. I would have loved to be a fly on the wall when you were telling the custom agent about the Peppa Pig ball pit!

a lovely catchup - loved the train and the tomatoes and the tangerine lace - really unusual.

Welcome back.

Ha ha! They are always really brusque with me and really busy. I wouldn't like all of the questions!
