Great deal......

We got the guest list for the baby shower on Tuesday and it looks to be around 60 people, with probably 50 + people actually coming.  So I thought I had better see what I had in cups and saucers and tea plates.  Below are the 51 sets that I have.

On Wednesday I popped into a thrift store and scored big time.  Both the sets below are Royal Doulton and there was a half price sale on housewares.  So I paid $1.50 for the burgundy set and $2 for the green set.
The two plates below were 50 cents each and are just so pretty.  The one on the left is Grindley Cream Petal
Then I called into a friends house and she gave me all these teaspoons.  She told me if you wrap your silver in cling/plastic wrap it stops it tarnishing?

I have seen people wrap silver in cling wrap. It still tarnished but not the same way and not as much. I use never dull (canadian tire) to clean silver

That is going to be a really big shower! I love all the china and that is a good tip about the cling wrap -- must remember that!

Looks like you are set to go...the cling wrap stops most of the air getting to the silver...which tarnish is a result of air and the metal interacting...at least I think that is what it is.
