Sorry............

Just haven't felt like blogging.

Life is pretty mundane at the moment, the weather sucks and honestly nothing much has been happening.

Worked both Tuesday and Thursday this week.  I normally only work on a Tuesday now, as I have too much to do at home to work more.  Anyhow the money will come in handy as it cost $200 to put a new exhaust/muffler on my car this week.  Had to take the car back to the garage on Friday as they hadn't tightened the screws enough and I even heard it rattling, so it had to be bad!!  So I guess I won't be using that garage again...........

I see gas prices are finally starting to drop.  I paid $1.215 at a Canadian Tire gas station on Friday.  I wish it would drop to below $1 a litre, but I guess that'll never happen.

For those of you who are not in Canada, we are on week three of a postal strike.  It's a pain in the butt, and I wish the government would get on with legislating them back to work.  It's really going to hurt Canada Post, as I have signed up to get some statements online now.  I know at work we are emailing invoices out as much as possible.  Again we have registered online to pay bills.  So when this strike is over we will not be using Canada Post for a lot of things at work, and I am guessing a lot of other companies and people will do the same.

Did anyone watch the new series "Combat Hospital?"  I have to say that was one of the best shows I have seen in a long time.  I am normally in bed just after 9pm, but stayed up to 10pm to watch this show and I am glad I did.  If you have a chance make sure you catch it.

"Combat Hospital" from the website, appears to be a re-hashed version of M.A.S.H.! (And, No! we haven't seen it (yet) in Australia but Canadian features have a funny way of making it onto our 'small screen' media - and they are always of very good quality, Mel Gibson made a very good movie in Canada called Payback where he played a character called 'Porter'.)

The postal strikers could well be on their way to losing jobs if they don't hurry up and go back to work. Like you, many others will find other means to get stuff out and will stick to them. I hate strikes. You probably know that the UK is up to its eyes in striking threats.

No need to apologize for a blog slump -- I am either slumping or hyperactively blogging which is where I am now. You will get back to it.

I sympathize with the car probs -- took mine in for a tire repair only to find I need a complete brake job. Blah! Well, like Scarlett O'Hara -- I will think about that tomorrow!

The US Post Office has just about done itself out of business as well. I completely think that it will be gone in my lifetime and I am getting old so that doesn't say much about the PO.

Have a great weekend!

Hope you have a better week next week! Just think, our 'gas' is £1.479 a litre, which is $2.33 in your money; does that cheer you up? :-)

I'm so fed up with this weather,it makes me feel so miserable. I think the veggy patch may only be good for growing rice now.

I know how you feel, sometimes everything is just too much effort!

I work for a company that processes bill payments so the postal strike has hit the operators hard as they is no work to do so they don't get paid or else have taken their vacation.

I, also, have been signing up for online bill payments but don't like E-Post (plus the fact it's owned by Canada Post)so looking around at other alternatives.

Haven't seen Combat Hospital yet but do know that it was filmed in Etobicoke!

life gets like that sometimes you just dont know what to blog about. I would hate to think what would happen to our business if the post was on stike.
I hope your car gets fixed properly this time.

Always good to take a little break. The postal services are in a lot of trouble with the onset of the electronic age. I have not seen Combat Hospital yet.
