On Wednesday we went downtown Toronto to see the musical We Will Rock You at the Ed Mirvish theatre. We were given some money for Christmas from my mother, and decided to use some of it for tickets to see this.
I have seen a few things at this theatre and they always put on great productions. That being said, would I go and see this again, no. The only things it had in common with Queen were the songs the actors sung. It was a weird storyline, the second half was better than the first. There were a lot of high school students there watching it and they seemed to love it.
For us, I am glad I bought cheaper seats. We saw the musical Just For One Day and that was a 100 times better.

I've heard good things about both musicals but not enough to want me to go and see them. I'm booked for Paddington middle of next year. Now that I really am looking forward to! xx
Just For One Day is well worth seeing if you get the chance.
My daughter’s uncle took her to see Queen last year. They enjoyed it.
I think it was aimed more at a younger demographic. The older people would go for the music, whereas the younger ones would enjoy the storyline and references to social media, tiktok etc.
Sorry your outing was somewhat disappointing. I don't think I would be interested in it. Can't remember the last live theatre production we've been to and it could very well have been at the old O'Keefe Centre and if I remember correctly it was a production of Sound of Music. It's either that or a production of 'Cats' perhaps at the Mirvish theatre.
I was at Princess of Wales last week for the Sound of Music - we enjoyed it a lot. I saw a review of We Will Rock You and they said it was not great - the first version of it seems to have been better, maybe as it has been adapted for a younger generation? I love a play but I am glad too sometimes when I get the cheap seats.
Shame your outing was a little disappointing.
All the best Jan
I am sorry you did not enjoy the show as much as you had hoped. Still I bet the music was great.
God bless.
