Yesterday our clocks went back one hour for Daylight Saving's Time.
We first had Daylight Saving's Time here in Canada in 1908, but was first used in Germany and Austria.
I HATE it when the clocks Spring Forward or Fall Back, it throws my system all off for a week or more. I am always surprised that a change in one hour can do that to someone's system. When the kids were young I hated it even more, as we brought up our kids with a routine in place, so it would always throw their routine's out of sync for a while also.
There has been talk for a number of years of stopping the Daylight Saving's Time here in Ontario, but for some reason, I thought New York State had to agree to it also?? I just wish Ontario would get on with it.
Here is more of the history of Daylight Saving's Time.
Do you have Daylight Saving's Time where you live?

Our clocks went back last weekend and I do really enjoy the darker evenings. I can't say that I've ever noticed that it's affected me, although I do not transition to the new time right away, I alway keep to the time it was and adjust slowly, I find that works for me and it di for th.e kids when they were babies too
We went back to GMT last Sunday, so the days seem much shorter, dull and wet. I must make more effort to go out for a walk.
A lovely letter in The Times, “Sir, I am impressed that flocks of geese have adapted to the clock change over our village. Their flights north are now at 4.55pm — exactly one hour earlier than last week.”
We do have Daylight Savings Time here in Tennessee too. I like when it falls back, but don’t like when it springs forward. I like how it gets lighter in the mornings in winter, especially when I was working and left early, so I could drive in the daylight, but then it gets dark by 5 p.m. in December, so that is a trade off. I’d be fine if they stopped it all together though.
I hate the time change because it throws my system off too. I really don't see the need for it. I wish they'd just split the difference by half an hour and leave it alone.
I love "spring forward" and hate "fall back." I need light at night!
