I got the two drawers cleaned out like I wanted to:

Then I have a "junk drawer" that I use exclusively.

I have also made a start on the trying to bring more money in the house. I put an ad on Kijiji to try and sell these lights:
I have advertised them as Fairy Lights that are ideal to use at a wedding. I know they are Christmas lights, but as they are white and as they can be used both indoor and outdoor I figured I would give it a try and get $15.00 for all three boxes. Will say I was surprised at the response and I have sold them tentatively; I am meeting up with a lady next Wednesday who wants them and is willing to pay the $15 and have another couple of people lined up if she falls through.
Another thing I am taking part in is Cindy's 52 Week Challenge.
It's pretty self explanatory, but one tip I have is to print out the form and cross off each week when you put it in your jar/pot. I am trying to get ahead of the game as I have a feeling when it gets to $30+ a week it will be harder to come up with the money. I am on week nine. I love this idea and thinking I will have saved up $1,378.00 by the end of the year excites me.
If you click on the link above the form you will find more details over at Cindy's.
I am still keeping up with the sealed pot challenge as well, just need to remind dh to put money in there!!!

I like the 52 week challenge. I think I'll have a go too. Every penny helps. I'm impressed with your decluttering. I just open my junk drawer, look at it, yep still the same, then close it. Works for me every time. :)
I am doing the 52 weeks also but I was reading someone's blog(i forget who) and she said that she put the numbers in a bowl and is pulling one out each week so all the big money isnt at the end of the year. Of course I pulled 50 this week but thats ok!!
I wish someone would come clean out my junk drawer for me I am ready to just toss it into the garbage
Week 9 !!! Good for you. Hell or High Water, I will do with bread and water to get this saved every week...hahahaha. Good job on making some "extra" money, I need to think organize and Yard Sale this Year.
You are moving right along on the decluttering. I did a bunch last week but have slacked off this week. Love the idea judy shared about doing a drawing for the 52 week savings. I think I will do it!!
Good for you for the claning, I like doing that with my junk drawers every once in a while as well! As for saving money, I am going to have 50$ a month going into my TFSA as of Friday next week!
You've been busy :) Nice job! I'm working on some de-cluttering this week too. And listing a few things on classifieds tonight. Hope they will sell!
You are off to a good start with the decluttering and extra incoming cash.
I am cleaning out my sewing room, magazines leafed through to see if anything was worth keeping---No now at the charity shop along with some fabric ends I know I would never use.
$'s in--YES, I took wine & beer bottles back to the beer store and now $5.00 in my sealed pot.Patricia
Wow great job decluttering! The 52 week challenge looks fun (I may not think so after week 10 or so but...) I think I will give it a try!
Woohoo!! You're doing awesome! I haven't even went near my junk drawer yet... it's really bad too. lol! Not looking forward to it.. haha! I have made extra $$ though, which i'm happy with!!
Excellent job on the junk drawers! I bet every Canadian junk drawer has at least one last year's poppy in it; mine does!
Awesome results..... you are welll on your way. I was tempted to participate in the 52 week challenge but decided against joining this time time, but maybe 2014. :)
I have junk drawers, too...want to come clean them??? Actually hasn't been that long since I did them. But it don't take too long to mess them up again.
