Not all work, some play also......
Dh is on vacation this week. We have been busy doing odds and ends. Dh was feeling sore after some of the jobs he has been doing, so we took the morning off and ran some errands. We ended up going to Stayner for lunch. I took this photo of the main street when we were in the car. It has some pretty decorative old buildings. There are a number of businesses closing down or have closed down. It's such a shame.
The day was gorgeous and the wispy clouds in the sky were lovely despite the power lines.
When we got home, it was back to normal. We cleaned out the shed and dh took a truck load of garbage to the dump, while I cut some grass. We're having a day outside again today to get more outside jobs done while the weather is nice.

It still sounds like you got a things done.
I didn't do much...went and got my friends computer 'fixed' for her...she could not get on the internet. Ended up staying and visiting a good while since I had not seen her in a while.
It is a pretty place and the buildings nice, I like the oldness. The flags on the post look festive too.

Lovely photos Gill,and that's a pretty town. We see small businesses come and go around here. Always sorry when they don't make it as it's someone's dream. We have English friends visiting and we're all attending father-in-law's yearly shipmates reunion at the sea-side. Have a great weekend :)
Cleaning the bathroom, ironing a HUGE pile of stuff, making shepherd's pie, walking the dogs (three times in all), school run, hacking down nettles in the garden, walking to the pony to feed him (twice), hoovering and many other very boring things!
Today i am up to work! I wish it would stop raining as I have to get my laundrey dried, am way behind as i don't have a working dryer.
Sometimes you just gotta take a break, and it sounds like you and DH had a nice little one. Back to work again, but enjoying the weather is a good thing too.

Sounds like a great day to me - Thursday I just went to work as usual.
I haven't been to Stayner in many years. We used to have friends at a hamlet called Badjeros and we drove through Stayner on the way to their place. And there was the time we got the ticket driving that way with a truck load of pigs....story for another day, hahahaha.
