The same with the water bill, I have to pay for the water coming into the house and also pay for it going out(sewer). But I can't understand why the sewer charge is more than the imcoming water charge. I must be charged for my waste as well as the water going out. The major complaint I always have with the hydro bill, is that I pay anywhere from $15 - $20 more for DELIVERY than I do for the actual hydro usageCrazy Acres Rosehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16395692693868305774noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1605129043543619307.post-56695907730356189132011-08-30T14:13:15.643-04:002011-08-30T14:13:15.643-04:00Ah, the hydro bill...we can still use hydro at the...Ah, the hydro bill...we can still use hydro at the same rate all day long here and I am very happy that I do not have to count on electricity for my heat as I would be a very unhappy camper if I did!!! The laundry is also a common laundry room for the building so the only things that go on my bill are the lights, TV, stereo, fish tant and fridge. My stove is gas and I only ever use the micro wave once a week when I have choir practice and as for ironing I never have much to do. Phew! I really do wish I could hang my laundry out to dry though, it always smells so nice and fresh when I bring it in after! I miss that.Karinehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07462017384530247677noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1605129043543619307.post-38325608516007528552011-08-30T13:43:26.669-04:002011-08-30T13:43:26.669-04:00I bought a Hills rotary line when my son was born ...I bought a Hills rotary line when my son was born in 1968. All the rest were other add ons. I was pleased though because with a/c I thought it would be much higher. Purchasing energy efficient appliances when we moved here really helped. We can't have an outside clothesline here. They are considered an icon of Australian suburbia.
