I'm one of those people that love an accent...pretty much any accent as I think I sound pretty boring. I would hope that I wouldn't be rude enough to stare though. I do love our country, but also don't feel that it is what it once was and that makes me sad.
Blessings,
BetsyBetsyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00807691752817225336noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1605129043543619307.post-89251389042399516672015-09-21T17:11:24.993-04:002015-09-21T17:11:24.993-04:00I'm glad you enjoyed your trip here. I'm happy most of the people you encountered were well mannered. :)

I grew up near Chicago and have a northern accent and my daughter talks just like me. Well we live in the South now and the kids at school like to tease me about my accent and they like to tell my daughter she talks just like me. lol Belindahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17486895127003368291noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1605129043543619307.post-41068657103968144092015-09-21T16:13:59.512-04:002015-09-21T16:13:59.512-04:00gas was 205 today in Ga. There is something so pleasing about the British lilt. I understand what you are saying about people wanting to hear you speak though. I am from the deep south and don't think I have much of an accent, but when we are in different parts of the country people almost always comment on the way I speak.Anne in the kitchenhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01533249631969001657noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1605129043543619307.post-70410674704987035972015-09-21T12:03:25.262-04:002015-09-21T12:03:25.262-04:00The use of the word bloody has always appealed to ...The use of the word bloody has always appealed to me!William Kendallhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00331324250821836822noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1605129043543619307.post-64987196194228156542015-09-21T10:05:05.537-04:002015-09-21T10:05:05.537-04:00I admit it...I love a British accent too. I guess the flag is flying lots of places, even our house. Is our country the best? I think most of us believe it once was....sadly, not so much anymore. There seems to be less and less tolerance for diversity, more hatred. Trump and his supporters are beating that drum. I will move to Canada if he wins.

Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06888411107067335015noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1605129043543619307.post-59897676102349045222015-09-21T08:47:19.732-04:002015-09-21T08:47:19.732-04:00When people say they love my accent,it takes me a ...When people say they love my accent,it takes me a few seconds to remember that I DO have an accent here!
Jane xJane and Chrishttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08102086552682194819noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1605129043543619307.post-35264307581077834762015-09-21T08:23:20.518-04:002015-09-21T08:23:20.518-04:00We will be in America end Oct for 2 weeks, the Ame...We will be in America end Oct for 2 weeks, the Americans certainly love our accent. They still have their Northern Irish accent though to us they have quite a bit of an American twang too. I work for an American company here in Northern Ireland and the Americans always love to hear the accent! I just try to say as little as possible.Gillianhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13234219836891799676noreply@blogger.com
